Service Arm #2 - S-Ic FWD
- Mischa
- LUT model
The light at the end of the tunnel is getting more and more powerful - we are now at Level 60, Level 30 and Level 0 still need some attention.
And of course the Saturn V, especially its first stage, which I pulled up quick & dirty in a past life to give optical support to the first swing arm.

Far view from the LUT
And from a distance the LUT looks almost finished. Level 30 - 80 I already had widely in the box six years ago, at that time however with Rhino 4, noticeable by strange construction gestures and head shaking from today's view. To make a long story short - most of it I redesigned in Rhino 5, especially the access platform for the swing arm #1 - S-Ic Intermediate.

Service Arm #2 - S-Ic FWD
As you can see, Service Arm #2 - S-Ic FWD - the lowest of the triple cluster is now finished. The arm is comparatively unspectacular, but its connection to the tubes is quite fancy and freely improvised. As you will easily guess, the whole thing was initially planned completely different. Actually, all tubes for the swing arms should leave the LUT at Side 1 - the side facing the Saturn V - to its respective swing arm like here e.g. at level 120:
